Double page spread analysis

This is a double page spread of band 30secondstomars, they were the first band I saw in concert, it was mega. In this double page spread, there is a picture of each band member, there is a plug, this is what draws people in, it says "there were many, many f***ing brutal days" because there is a swear in it, it stands out more, because people are attracted to things they don't expect like "why is this magazine swearing at me!?" or it makes the reader feel that the band is pretty badass for swearing in an interview, or they could think they're total douche's. There isn't much of an interview here at all, the text is very minimal and it looks more like a promo than an actual interview. There is a bar on the right hand side which is a timeline of the band, so it gives readers a bit more information, this could interest readers if they are linked with other bands they are fond of or if they have asomething in common like they worked in KFC before they were big, it gives the kind of "you can do anything, it could happen to anyone" feel. The page is dark with a spotlight effect on the band members, the lead singer- Jared Leto, has the biggest picture, because he's the one everyone sees, andf the girls want to rip his clothes off with their teeth. This is a double page spread of Lily Allen, there is one main picture featured on the right side of the DPS, it takes up most of the room, as does the header, there is also very little writing space and the text is TINY. The double page spread before only has a tiny plug, this one has a huge one that takes up alot of space, that mixed with the contrast black and white colour scheme makes it big and noticeable, it also shows there isn't that much writing so people will read it as they feel it's easier, however, if writing is in a bigger font, people read it although it seems more writing, it looks alot more manageable rather than a serious little formal text. I love how all the colours featured in thus are very bold and contrast, again going with a black white and red theme like several rock magazines.

This a double page spread of My Chemical Romance, it has 4 pictures from what seems to be a gig, the main picture is also of lead singer, the same thing applies to this as it did in the first double page spread I analysed, people see him first in the band cause he's always front of stage as lead singer, and a lot of people find him attractive.

The colour scheme is kind of sepia mixed with black and white, and should really clash with the header, but it doesn't, the same colours are used here as the second DPS, black white and red, this keeps it bold and simple, all the DPS I have analysed seem to have the same kind of simple colour scheme.
